Upcoming Events In West Virginia:

Town Hall Meeting About Our Future
Sunday, November 2nd, 2pm-4pm

Whatever happens with the government shutdown, we know our community will be tested in many ways. Our community, state, and nation are going through turmoil, and navigating these challenging times is more important than ever.

We’re especially concerned about the impact on access to healthcare, the local economy, and our civil liberties.

Now more than ever, we must gather facts, share them openly, and create opportunities for discussion and reflection. It’s easier said than done during divided times, but defending democracy requires us to keep practicing it—especially when it feels like the world is on fire.
Let’s come together to share information, stories, ideas, and concerns. Let’s strengthen our bonds and commit to supporting one another through these challenging times.

This video breaks down how the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” threatens West Virginia’s health care and economy. With Medicaid so dependent on federal dollars, the bill’s funding cuts and new red tape could kick thousands off coverage, raise costs for families, and force rural hospitals to close. SNAP recipients, foster youth, veterans, and working families could all lose critical support. This is a must watch.

In summary: This law piles on red tape to push people off Medicaid and SNAP, shuts down rural care, and hikes costs for families — all to hand tax cuts to millionaires.
